Nimbu Paani is a refreshing, cool, thirst quenching lemon cooler which flows freely especially during the festival of Ramanavami.

This cool, thirst quenching drink is made with mainly fresh juicy lemons and jaggery or sugar. Since both sugar and jaggery are processed sweeteners, we show you how you can make this with dates.

Nimbu Paani is a welcome relief during the sweltering summer in India. Lemons are a rich source of Vitamin C and antioxidant phytonutrients. They are believed to ‘cool down’ the body.

Nimbu Paani / Panaka / Lemon juice

INGREDIENTS

1 Lemon
4 tbsp Date Syrup
1/8 tsp Cardamon powder / Elaichi
1/8 tsp Pepper Powder
1 1/2 glasses Water

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Squeeze lemon juice in water, add other ingredients. Mix well. Serve cool.
